With around 30.000 satisfied customers around the world, Liquid Web is a smaller US-based hosting company, offering nothing less than a top-notch service. They own and operate three data centers, including one in Europe, which are more advanced than many other hosting companies have. Established back in 1997, Liquid Web clearly has a good handle on what they are doing. This is because the company is strictly focused on providing the best in class hosting for their customers. The majority of their marketing efforts go toward attracting large customers for their dedicated and cloud hosting services. They used to offer shared hosting too, but now they are focused on advanced services, and if you are looking to start a small personal website, then the best solutions would be to look for a better deal somewhere else.

For example, if your website is unavailable for 1 hour, you get 10 hours of credit to your bill. They have branched out in Europe just recently. Their features are advanced by all means. Liquid Web offers a bundled SSL certificate, automatic daily backups, intelligent image optimizations and much more. For their dedicated and VPS customers, the company has some of the best service level agreement (SLA) that guarantees 100% network and power uptime, a 30-minute initial response time, and hardware replacements should also happen within 30 minutes. With VPS, dedicated or cloud you will really get the full treatment. They have fully dedicated servers with single, dual or quad-core CPUs. You can also request custom servers if you need something more specific. In addition to these packages, you will get a number of other nice features such as a free domain name, and static IPs.

 Liquid Web refers to its customer support as the “Heroic Support”. They are available 24/7, with a high-level of expertise and 300+ hours of training. No matter what kind of problem you are facing, they will make sure to resolve it as soon as possible. They have a few means of communication: phone, live chat or through their email. No matter which one you decide to use, the response rate is fast. They are also super helpful. Their toll-free phone line is answered within 20 seconds on average, and dedicated and VPS customers have a 59-second answer guarantee. They also offer 1 hour of credit if your call or live chat request takes more than six minutes to be answered. They do have a self-help page that has a lot of information, although it seems to have been written for technical professionals because it is long and sometimes overly complex.

 Liquid Web is certainly not trying to compete in terms of pricing. They know that they are offering a much higher end product than just about all other hosting providers, and they will charge you for it. Although the prices are a bit higher than most other companies, you do get a superior service. If you are looking for a cheap shared solution, then you should probably look elsewhere. Everything from the tech support to the hardware and anything else you need is going to be provided for in a very good way. If money isn’t a top concern and you want to enjoy hosting the way it should be done, this is a great company to try.
